I Would Like to Thank the Blogcademy
No, I haven't received any sort of blogging award. But, having turned in a draft of my second paper for my current Army professional school, I was informed by my primary instructor that, out of around 100 students he's taught, I'm one of the top 1 or 2 writers in that group. Keep in mind these are all Majors in the U.S. Army. All college grads, many with grad degrees. Not a bunch of illiterates. So now I've got some serious pressure to continue to perform.
But, having received such a compliment, I'd link to thank:
-the bloggers that I read. See the blogroll at left for references. With examples like Whittle, Hill, du Toit, Byrne, Donovan, Balko, et al...I can't go wrong. And ya'll give me something to work toward.
-the folks who actually bother to read my blog. Especially the ones who keep checking since I've moved to NC, since I know the pickings have been slim. It's true, and Uncle says, I do this for me, not you, but feedback helps me keep going. And, as they say, in German, Ubung macht den Meister. (I apologize for the lack of umlauts.)
-all of my teachers, instructors, professors-and my Mom, who proofread all my papers until I went to college. Ya'll got it right at least once.
I must now go find something to reduce the swelling of my head.
