Back when the state of Washington first enacted the mandatory seatbelt law, it was a secondary infraction, meaning you could only be cited if you were pulled over for speeding or some other violation. The wards of the state citizenry were assured that they'd never get pulled over simply for not wearing a seatbelt.
Of course, ya'll know how this story goes. A couple of years later, not wearing a seatbelt became a primary infraction, meaning you could now be pulled over for not wearing one.
Well, now the state of Washington has gone yet a step further: they have announced "Seatbelt emphasis patrols." Meaning that apparently either the state needs money, or they've run out of speeders, drunks, tailgaters, and idiots who can't figure out the turn signal to give tickets to. And I'm pretty sure it's not the latter.
Now, I've probably opined on this topic before but I'm going to vent again. For adults (kids are a different matter), wearing a seatbelt (or helmet for bikers) is a personal choice. If Joe Schmoe doesn't wear one, and gets in an accident, nobody else is going to get any more hurt because he wasn't.
The state usually justifies their interference in this matter of personal choice because "so people don't have medical insurance, and the state has to pay their medical bills, so it's in the best interest of the taxpayers to tell everyone to wear a seatbelt."
OK, simple solution to that: just make the law so that, if you're not wearing a seatbelt/helmet, and you get in an accident, you're responsible for all of your own medical costs, to include emergency room care, regardless of who is judged to be at fault. If that means the hospital has to garnish wages or place liens to pay for the ER, and refuse further treatment, well, stupidity should be painful. Should have buckled up, pal.

What's Wrong With This Picture?
Yes, I love my wife. And yes, I know I am a very, very lucky man.
For those who actually manage to look at the guns, the pistol is a stainless Colt Delta Elite, stock except I replaced the standard double recoil spring setup with a FLGR and a single Wolff 22# spring. The AR is a mutt-Mega lower, Oly stock and trigger, RRA upper.
C'mon, nobody else has a guess?
UPDATE: Cowboy Blob got it: the upper on the AR is a 9mm, but the mag is .223. I took the mag block out to take the pic, because the .223 mag looked better.
