Exceptions to the Rule
Gunfighting Rule #23: "Do not attend a gun fight with a handgun whose caliber does not start with a "4.""
I would think that two pistol calibers are definite exceptions to this rule: the .357 Magnum, generally held up as the standard of stopping power, and the 10mm Auto*, because, well, it's too mean for the G(irly)-Men of the FBI.
*Yes, I know that 10mm translates to .40". That's not the point.
