Power's been out at my home since just after midnight last night. I'm typing this from work, where Fort Lewis, McChord AFB, and the Bridgeport Way area of Lakewood have power.
PWE reports to expect to be without power through sometime this afternoon to maybe Monday.
The stove is gas, and still works, although the electric ignition doesn't, and we've got running water. I've got 4+ little green propane bottles and a gallon + of white gas, a stove that runs off each, and a propane lantern.
I've also got a case and half of MREs, canned food, and a half box of Ramen.
We'll see how it goes.
UPDATE: Power apparently came back on around noon, roughtly 12 hours after it went out. Bizarrely, it's still out just up the block, so we're still in a wait and see mode.

N.Y. Amish Man Robbed At Gunpoint
Dekalb, NY, Dec 12, 2006
(CBS/AP) Police say two men armed with a .50 caliber muzzleloading rifle held up an Amish buggy driver and made off with a pipe, tobacco and flashlight
Well, I guess we know what Mayor Bloomberg will be after next.
Dave Kopel at Volokh notes that the Ohio Legislature has overridden Gov. Taft's veto of HB 347, which makes adjustments to Ohio's concealed handgun license law, but more importantly, pre-empts all local gun control laws.
The bill's opening statement is a great one: "The individual right to keep and bear arms, being a fundamental individual right that predates the United States Constitution and Ohio Constitution, and being a constitutionally protected right in every part of Ohio..."
I think that's the strongest language to come out of a legislative body recognizing the right to arms as a fundamental right in a long time.
Way to go Ohio, indeed.
"Cosmetically incorrect self-loading firearms" is also my new favorite euphemism.
Last Weekend at the Gunshow
Hit the WAC show last Saturday. Here's what I came away with:
500 rounds Wolf polymer coated 7.62x39mm FMJ. Would have bought more, but that's all they had.
140 rounds FNM 196 grn 8x57mm FMJ.
80 rounds Barnaul 203 grn 7.62x54R BTSP.
60 rounds Wolf Gold 180 grn 7.62x54R.
Bought the dealers out on all four. Wish I'd gotten there earlier.
Now just for fun, let's take a closer look at the Wolf Gold 7.62x54R.
Here it is next to a box of Hotshot, same specifics, that I bought a couple weeks ago.
And the headstamps. Sorry, but that's the best pic I could get.
They're both made by Prvi Partisan in Serbia. As far as I can tell, they're identical. We'll see when I get them to the range.
Got the semi-regular sales flyer from Southern Ohio Gun yesterday, and plastered across the outside is an ad featuring a bunch of pre-Christmas daily specials, some of which I'm actually interested in. And here's the great part: tomorrow (the 13th) is wild card day-you can get any of the specials listed. Which brings me to my dilemna.
Do I go for two Mosins (M44 and 91/30) for $118, or the CZ-52 pistol for the same price?
With the Mosins, it's 2 guns, and I already have ammo for them, which I don't for the CZ. But the CZ is a pretty cool pistol, and fires some zippy (and relatively cheap) ammo that the GFWs might get it in their heads to try to ban as a danger to cops or somesuch. Plus, it's a pistol, which means I can shoot it indoors, and thus might actually get to fire it sometime before, oh, Easter.
