Why...
The hardline Islamists-both the violent ones, and the preachers and teachers who inspire the violent ones-seem to have an inordinate phobia of female sexuality.
So why the heck aren't we buying out all the commercial time on al Jazeera for Girls Gone Wild videos?
One minute they get Osama ranting about the Great Satan, and the next they get drunk naked coeds making out. Either their heads will explode, or they'll come to the conclusion, "Fuck that asshole. We want the hot naked chicks."

BAG Day Was a Month Late
But, it finally arrived, actually about 10 days ago.
Looks like a late 1944 manufacture by the S/N (5177XXX). Also has FAT 61 stamped on the stock, which I'm guessing was an Italian arsenal rebuild or somesuch.

Another Glimpse of Comrade Hillary
Another glimpse at the Socialist behind the 'moderate' mask.
MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) -- Presidential hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton outlined a broad economic vision Tuesday, saying it's time to replace an "on your own" society with one based on shared responsibility and prosperity.
"I prefer a 'we're all in it together' society," she said. "I believe our government can once again work for all Americans...Fairness doesn't just happen. It requires the right government policies."
So I guess that means the junior Senator from the Empire State will be supporting the FairTax then? Or maybe at least a flat tax? Universal school vouchers maybe? Because all of those would be more fair than the current system.
Then again, 'fairness' to folks like Comrade Hillary means equality of outcome, not opportunity.
Oh, and I don't want the government to work for me. It's way too expensive, and spends way too much time doing stuff I don't want done.
Previous Comrade Hillary moments:
DNC winter meetings, February 2007:
"The Democrats know what needs to be done. Again, we're working to try to push this agenda forward. The other day the oil companies reported the highest profits in the history of the world. I want to take those profits..."
Speech in SF, 2004:
"Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you," Sen. Clinton said. "We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."
Tam said it best: the most amoral, power-hungry weathervane to wear a skirt in Washington since J. Edgar Hoover.

Memorial Day
CPT Chris Seifert
Asst. Bde S2, 1st Bde 101st Infantry Division (Air Assault) Killed 23 March, 2003, Camp New Jersey, Kuwait
Amazingly, after 10 years in the Army and almost 6 years at wear, Chris is the only person I've known personally who has been killed. I was at NTC when I heard about the attack, over a period of 3 days. The first day the paper said something about one soldier from the 101st being killed in a grenade attack in Kuwait. The next day the story said that it was a Muslim American soldier who conducted the attack, and listed Chris' name. I remember thinking "Seifert...I think I know that guy." Finally the next day they had a picture and I knew for sure.
Chris and I were platoon leaders in the same battalion, 1-6 Infantry (Mechanized), in Germany at the end of the 90s. What I remember of Chris is an easy going guy, the kind who never makes himself the center of attention, but who's welcome wherever he went.
Chris is survived by his wife and his son, now 4 years old. His fraternity holds a charity golf tournament every year to raise money for Ben's future college tuition.
Rest in Peace.
